Expert Predictions On The World Cup 2018 Top Four

The FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russia will showcase an array of world-class line-ups, boasting the biggest names and personalities in World football. Predicting which teams will play in the semi-finals is hence, a tricky affair, with so many impressive teams competing, and the inevitable and unpredictable upsets that could unfold.

Germany in World Cup 2018

After Germany lifted the World Cup in 2014, many believed that German football had reached the pinnacle of its success. Four years later, experts are still lauding Germany, with a second string team that could rival any other teams’ first eleven. There have been wonderful additions in the form of Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich, winger Julian Brandt and Leipzig’s Timo Werner, the supposed heir of the great Miroslav Klose. Familiar names such as Ozil and Kroos will man the midfield, Boateng and Hummels will shore things up at the back with Manuel Neuer in goal.

Brazil in World Cup 2018

Brazil, despite winning the Olympic gold, will be looking to avenge their hometown embarrassment. They boast an experienced back line with the likes of Thiago Silva, Miranda and Marcelo, an energetic and powerful midfield comprising Casemiro and Paulinho., led by a front three that can dismantle defences with ease on a good day with Barcelona’s Coutinho, Paris St. Germain’s Neymar as well as Man City’s predator, Gabriel Jesus.

France in World Cup 2018

The French also have a truly incredible and young team, with some of the most highly rated fullbacks in World football, the Real Madrid – Barcelona pairing of Rafael Varane and Samuel Umtiti at the back, The Manchester United – Chelsea partnership of the Paul Pogba and N’golo Kante finished off with an array of attacking options in Kylian Mbappe, Thomas Lemar, Ousmane Dembele, Corentin Tolisso, Olivier Giroud and Antoine Griezzman.

Belgium in World Cup 2018

It's fair to say that Belgium has one of the most talented teams at the World Cup in Russia. They have always been considered as underachievers on the international stage, but there is a sense of belief in the Belgium camp that their tiny nation could create big waves at this tournament. Boasting the likes of Yannick Carasco, Dries Mertens, Romelu Lukaku, Eden Hazard and Kevin De Bruyne, coach Roberto Martinez will have to find the right system to incorporate such names, and if he does, the Red Devils could go all the way at this World Cup.
